Dorothy Dowling


Dorothy Dowling, Principal, Introspect Strategic Advisory Services, has a mission to help individual executives achieve commercial and professional success, and to support global hospitality industry clients with go-to-market strategies to help grow scale, revenue, and profitability with services ranging from repositioning to commercial business planning and activation.

Dowling has over 40 years of hospitality industry experience, most recently having spent the last 18 years as Chief Marketing Officer of Best Western where she directed all marketing and commercial strategies including loyalty, digital transformation, advertising, public relations, consumer, distribution and intermediary partnerships and the global sales organization.

Dowling is sought out as a speaker and panelist for industry conferences for her expertise and her ability to connect the dots on where business partners need to be focused as our industry and customer and investor needs and expectations evolve.

In recognition of her exceptional leadership in the hospitality industry, Dowling was recently honored with Lifetime Achievement awards from the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI), the New York University Investment and Real Estate Conference for her innovation and business performance and GBTA WINIT for her trailblazing and leadership work advancing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the industry.

Dowling holds an Honors BA and an MA from the University of Waterloo in Canada, has completed executive education at both Harvard and MIT and has recently completed post graduate D&I and ESG certifications through Cornell.
